The Kindness Caring Kids Toy Run was started in 2003 by a group of concerned individuals who found out that there were children in several outlying areas in the community that for whatever reason did not receive any presents at Christmas time. They decided to do something about it.
We contacted local businesses and companies to see if they could help in anyway.
Donations started coming in along with items to be raffled and door prizes. The first
Three events were very successful that we began to make
this an ANNUAL EVENT
on the 2nd Saturday in October.
The event has grown considerably and people and businesses in the different communities look forward to hearing from us. We have started working on 2008 to collect donations for the needy kids this year.
To participate in the event, registration opens @ 9AM. The fee is $10.00 per rider, $5.00 per passenger plus a new unwrapped toy. But the run is not just for motorcycles; all vehicles are welcome, old and new.
The run includes a poker run, dinner put on by the women of the club, door prizes, 50/50 and music. The committee is asking for your help. Anything that you can contribute, such as toys, products for raffles or door prizes or monetary donations are greatly appreciated.
